Dear All,
This is Ruah M. Alyamany, medical student at KSU - Riyadh, assistant of Vice President For Local Chapters (VPLC - Assistant) in the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations - Saudi Arabia (IFMSA-SA).
I'm hereby pleased to call for application of Local Member Organization Representative (LMO-R) position, in KAAU. I strongly encourage all of you to apply and to be part of IFMSA-SA family.

What is IFMSA?

The IFMSA is an independent, non-governmental and non-political federation of medical students’ associations throughout the world. In 2010, IFMSA consists of national medical student associations in 97 countries on six continents. Our members represent around 1, 200,000 medical students worldwide.

Since 1951, IFMSA has been run for and by medical students on a non-profit basis. Officially recognized as a Non Governmental Organization within the United Nations’ system, it is recognized by the World Health Organization as the international forum for medical students. IFMSA is registered as a charitable organisation in the Netherlands.

LMO-R Reports to:

Vice President for Local Chapters

Overall Responsibilities:

The importance of facilitating the performance of the local team and its function, has made mandatory to
supervise and organize the work for the team and be primarily responsible for the association at the local
level of the concerned LMO.
1. Establishing the LMO in the university and conducting the agreed rules of IFMSA-SA to the LMO.
2. Maintaining the IFMSA-SA image in the LMO.
3. Arranging and organizing the LMO meetings.
4. Representing the LMO at any concerned sector (governmental and non-governmental).
5. Holding responsibility of the LMO financial issues.
6. Developing the LMO and supervising the local recruitment campaigns.
7. Supporting the local standing committees and coordinating their work.
8. Providing the needed support to implement the local projects.
9. Providing financial support or assigning someone to do so.
10. Evaluating the LMO activity regularly.
11. Responsible for any additional tasks assigned later from the President or the VPLC within the LMO

scope; this is including marketing, media and training in case there are no appointed officers for these.
