Children and Watching Television
No one can deny how television has a huge influence in children. Nowadays every home has at least one television. Children are affected to television by their nature so they like to sit and watch it for many hours without feeling bored. Doing that without adult monitoring is harmful. Iteffects on how children behave, what they prefer, and more of that their knowledge what is it.
First of all, letting children set in front of television for along hour every day impact in their personality. The result of last research in this issue show that most of the children who sit for a long time watching television become lonely and unsocial. They want to spend time in their special world with their beloved character or hero. They see anything other that is boring and waste of joy. They think it is the best thing to do like the hero even if it is not right or not suitable to them.
In addition, television programmes or cartons especially which they are for children always have essential hero or character. That hero is what children want to be like, do as he does and want to have everything belong to this hero. Maybe they fight each other over the character because everyone thinks his hero is the best and no one like him. Many children may try to do or act like hero they love or do dangerous things which they see in their cartons. Some time there are many of violence scenes in it and it is not suitable to children to watch so parents must be careful on what their children watch.
Finally, some programmes are good and we cannot deny that. It may be useful to children to watch and learn especially if it is educational one. Speaking about animals or things that in our environment children need to know details about it. However, these programmes are not show every time and they are few. We cannot depend on this fact to let our children sit for a long time by saying they are learning.
To conclude what I say, it should be the parents who have to be restrict and make the time their children spend in watching television less. They must know how television influence in their children and the impact will be for all their life. They have to do other activity which must be joyful and interesting to let children spend less time on television.
