حاولت قد ماأقدر الخص الفصل السابع..
Chapter : 7 The structure of Noun Phrase..
Noun phrase / consisting of just ( Pronoun or Just name)
طبعا ماراح يكون غيرهم..
NPèDET and NOM
بمعنى يكونوا زي الأخوات..
طبعا هذا الشيء الجديد في هذه الجزئية بس اللي قبل درسناه في السينتاكس

DET= راح يندرج تحته واحد من هذه الأشياء
إما :.
1- ART (a-an-the)
2- DEM=(this-that-theses-those)
3- Q= (some-any-no-each-every-either-neither)
4- POSS=(my- your-its-her-his-our-their-John’s)
في حال كان يحتوي الإسم على الإس الملكية نراعي حاجة وهي..
DET وتحتها POSS وتحتها NPوتحته DET+Nom
· Empty determiner= plural count noun and mass noun
_ Pre-determiner..
اللي هم all, both ,half. double
يصير الكاتجوري تبعهم PRE_DET
بإختصار نفس وظيفة DETوإذا وُجد حل مكانه..
· Among the determiners that cannot function as pronouns, there are some that correspond to forms that can.
والضمائر بصفة عامة تأخذ مكان N
زي مثلا..
Mine- yours-hers-his-………
· Pre-modifier in NOM
Adj- describe Noun..
· Quantifying adjectives;.الصفات التي لها كمية
وتأتتي طبعا تحت الناون فريز وتحت النوم NOM



سؤال مهم قد يأتي..
· Why do you consider them adj?
1- Like adjectives, they occur with and follow determiners
بمعنى هو مرتبط بdeterment ولكنه صفة
Many books-little butter….
2- Like adjective hey may occur in the VP, functioning as subjects –predicative;
His mistakes were many. It was little enough.له علاقة بالفعل المساعد was-were
3-Like adjectives, they are gradable: very many books-too much garlic.
درجة الصفة ..
· Numerals..(the cardinal numerals one,two,three……….and the ordinal nhould numerals (first-second-third…………….) should also be treated as quantifying adjectives within NOM since they follow DET including empety DET
بمعنى لو جات هذه الارقام راح نصنفها من NP=NOM=AP=Qولو كان فيه واحد من درجات الفات نقسمهم قسميين ثانيين تحت AP= DEG

· Nouns..
Nouns themselves may act as pre-modifiers of nouns..
Ex.. chess piece- traffic light..* noun modifiers always appear last
زي في هذه الجمله some expensive roof maintenances = head
· Every modifier must be immediately dominated by NOM..
· Post modifiers..
يكرر الكلام ان nom تحته prepositional phrase+ adjectives phrase
· Prepositional phrase.. ( P+NP)
خلاصة الكلام..
Nom=pre modifier..
Adj=Post-modifier..
- All the NPs considered so far have included just pre- modifiers or just post-modifiers .
· What happens when NOM includes both a pre-modifying AP and a post- modifying PP?
There must be as many NOMS as there are modifiers. So, with a pre-modifiers and a post-modifiers there will be two NOM .
ممكن يجيك سؤال حددي ال post& pre& head وانتبهوا زين...
· More on adjective phrases..
A few adjectives (includes present,absent,responsible,visible) can pre-modify or post-modify the head noun in NOM..
