Education has a different meaning to everyone all over the world. Whether it is of big importance or of very little importance, education is a crucial part of all societies. So what exactly is the purpose of education? Well, for starters, education is used to develop well-rounded students and critical thinkers. It allows children to practice all different types of skills and give them opportunities to decide what they want to do when they are older. It involves independent thinking as well as working together on different tasks. An education gives a person the background they need to go wherever they want to go in life.
Education allows students to combine their learned skills as well as common knowledge in order to develop and prepare them for the outside world. Education is experienced everyday, in and outside of the classroom. It is something that never ends; you can never learn too much. There is something new out there to learn each and every day we wake up in the morning. Education is what teaches people right and wrong. It also gives students support and convinces them to never stop thinking. There are so many opportunities out there and an education allows one to reach his or her goals of life and seek success in it.
I believe that everyone should be eligible to a quality education. There is no reason a child should be denied a quality education because of their social class, race, upbringing or disability. Kindergarten through the twelfth grade should be mandatory. A high school diploma is a necessity in today's society and it will be hard to survive with anything less than that.
The role that a teacher must play is extremely important to a good education. Teachers should make sure that their classroom is an inviting and comfortable environment to learn in. Students would much rather sit in a bright and cheerful classroom rather than a dull and dissatisfying one. Every teacher should ensure that his or her students are working to their individual highest ability. They must realize that every student is different and some students excel faster than others in specific areas. The teacher should respect each of his or her students learning styles as well. In order to do this they should vary the way he or she presents material and assignments. If lessons are varied than the class will not be monotonous and will keep the attention of all students. Keeping the students attention and desire to learn is a big key to being a great teacher. They should allow open discussion classes and really take into consideration the students ideas and suggestions about different things. Not every student comes from a good home life so all teachers should make school a safe and welcoming place so that these certain students feel needed and desire to learn. A good teacher must love every day of his or her job. They are helping younger people strive to attain their future goals. Good teachers have an effect on their students and make a difference.
The main role of each student should deal with work ethics. Each student should work up to his or her ability with 100% effort. At times they should also challenge themselves to harder work. They should be very attentative in class and respect their teacher as well. Students should also take the time out to ask questions and make suggestions. They must be able to help out other students and work together on certain tasks. Each student should set a goal, or many goals, for themselves and strive to achieve it through education. They must take all the opportunities of education that they are given and go further with it. Students who make the best of their education will seek success in life.
