Course Deion
A study of the concepts, processes and interventions of Human Resource Management function. Topics include aspects of human resource management function and its various tools. It will include topics related to the strategic HR planning, job designing and job enrichment, recruitment and selection of employees, managing employees’ performances, managing compensation, and developing training & development strategy beside developing a healthy employment relationship.
Course Objectives
To understand the dynamics of HRM to make an organization more effective and to enhance the opportunity for the individual to develop his or her potential.
The course aims at exposing the participants to the basic and strategic aspect of HRM function.
The course will enable the participants to acquire, develop and sharpen their people management skills for better HR outcomes.
To develop HR strategies for enhancing organizational effectiveness and systematically bringing about high-performing organization.
Learning Outcomes
Students who successfully completed the course will
1. Have developed the awareness about the importance of human resource management function and the centrality of the role of the HR managers in achieving organizational goals and objectives.
2. Have basic awareness and skill to plan the manpower requirement, select, appraise, develop and compensate employees for better organizational outcome.
3. Have assessed how the strategic role of people management function is to be pursued in the organization for developing a high performance work system (HPWS).
4. Correctly use conceptual frameworks from management research and practice to diagnose and improve employee performance and healthy workplace relationship.
