In A Station Of The Metro ….. by …. Ezra Pound
American poet , critic.
He is one member of what’s known as modern movement in literature.
Ezra Pound enjoyed the Japanese poetry.
He took from Japanese poetry what is Haikus.
The poem is describing crowd of people at a metro station, and companies them of flowers on a bough ( branch of a tree ).
People at the metro station like ghosts that appear and disappear. Those people look like flowers but seam unhappy.

? Q1 : How Ezra Pound used Haiku in his poem

- Pound employed the Japanese from called Haiku ,short poem with three lines, but 17 syllables, Pound used Haiku with only two lines and 17 syllables. The japans from gives a contrast between tow images. Pound made a contrast between faces and Betal ( flower ). The Japanese make reference to a season. He made a reference to spring by the term “Betal “.

? Q2 : What is the significance of the title

He was talking about a metro station in particulars but he made open to mean all metro station in the word. It shown the modern like with all its troubles. We suggest that the poet talk about the day of Judgment.
