King Duncan told his people that there will be his son Malcolm.
Lady Macbeth made a plane to kill the king Duncan.
Macduff.
The Second Lecture (2)
The major characters.
* Hero Macbeth :-
- a developing character.
- intelligent.
- great general army.
- weak before his wife.
- is friendly man.
- change to love power.
- turned to be criminal.
- not wise.
* Duncan :-
- the king of Scotland.
- is not a man of power.
- suitable (fit) to be a father not a king.
- trusts all people.
- not able to read the future.
- good hearted.
* The three witches:-
- devils to hurt people.
- they explicit people with poor minds.
- speak in rhymed verse.
- wicked and powerful.
- toy with human life.
*Banquo:-
- a faithful friend of Macbeth.
- a general in Duncan's army.
- wiser than Macbeth.
- Macbeth fears him.
- brave.
- he is the first one to suspect that Duncan is killed by Macbeth.
The Third Lecture (3)
The main plot
- Initial situation:-
Duncan faces rebels in his kingdom. He call upon his general in the army Macbeth and his friend Banquo.
- Conflict:-
1- begins when Macbeth and his friend Banquo met the three witches. They tell them a prophecy that Macbeth will be the king and thane of Cawdor. Banquo's son will be king.
2- there is a conflict between Macbeth and his wife.
3- there is also another conflict in Macbeth's mind. To kill the king.
- Complication:-
When Macbeth killed Duncan – the king.
- Climax:-
1- Macbeth is the king of Scotland.
2- Macbeth kill Banquo.
3- Macbeth begins to see ghosts.
- Conclusion:-
1- Macbeth is killed by Macduff in the battle.
2- his wife (lady Macbeth) killed herself.
- style:-
Shakespeare wrote his play in verse.
Shakespeare made the upper class speak in Blank verse.(unrhymed).
Shakespeare made the witches speak in (rhymed) verse.
Shakespeare made the working class people speak in prose.
Setting:-
Time: 11 and 17th century.
Place: Scotland + England.
Symbols:-
1- Blood = guilt, crime.
2- Dress = he should not be the king.

Twelfth Night
It is comedy
The main story
1- Viola survived the ship wreck.
2- Viola disguised as a boy and named herself as Cisario.
3- Viola has a twin brother called Sebastian.
4- Viola met duke Orsino.
5- Viola (Cisario) went to Olivia, rich and pretty lady with a love message from Orsino.
6- Olivia rejected Orsino's offer, and she fell in love with Cisario (Viola).
7- sir Andrew offers marriage to Olivia.
8- Malvolio (servant, steward) wants to marry Olivia for post (to be upper class).
9- Maria (servant) forged a letter to Malvolio.
10- finally Viola's twin brother Sebastian appear alive.
11- Viola (Cisario) has to show her identity.
12- finally Sebastian married Olivia.
13- Viola tells Orsino that she is in love with him.
