It is way to study literature was to study the text itself in close detail, and disregard anything outside the text itself as outher's biography, historical context in which the work appeared, in short, this school assumed to the literary text as an isolated object, in this branch of criticism outher's meaning is in the text itself.it says that literature students ought to read the words on the page, no thig alss.

النقد التطبيقي دراسه ادبيه كانت تدرس النص نفسه بتفصيل ممل وتتجاهل أي شي اخر خارج النص نفسه كالسيره الذاتيه للمؤلف والسياق الاجتماعي وهي تفترض ان النص كجسم معزول.

Wate is theoretical criticsm or new model ?

It looks at the text as key to understanig questions and ideas beyond the text itself, in this branch rathe than focus on text itself they ask questions: how are literary texts structured? How do literary texts effect audience?...etc. It considers that readers interact with the text, and reading is not passive activity.
