No this is a smart q actually even if we think that there is no distinction between male and female in learning English

I said that coz the scholars asked this q before so we will study this thing in sociolinguistics I think if it's not appliedlinguistics

In my opinion

Learning English as we took in introduction to linguistics is according to two purposes

First , social communication .and in this case the person doesn't learn syntax ,morphology ,fiction ,,,,and so . he learn spoken English including slang words ,just for communication with people with this language

Second , for other purposes such as having extra degree in his job or majoring in English ,,,and so on . and in this case learning English is sort of academic learning

So

I think in the first , males r better than female coz they r more outgoing than females , they travel a lot so
they get a big chance to learn English well

In the second , female is better coz we all know that female is better than male in academic studying and she spend more time with her book , so she would learn English better than male
