Employee training, employee development and career development

Globalization- opening up of the world, more business outflow and inflow

Temporariness –employees having to work for contractual, and temporary jobs now

Diversity – more people from different races, countries, religions, ages,genders etc are
coming to work in companies

Turnover –companies losing out the employees

7) how is surplus or extra labor dealt with?

Voluntary retirement: company gives retirement to the employees before the actual
retirement age

Attrition –companies where employees leave/or are removed

Work sharing-companies making the employees share work with other employees rather
than doing only fixed work

Leave of absence without pay- leave is given to employee for sometime without pay

Retrenchment- companies remove the workers permanently
