My Summary "THE CASK OF AMONTILLADO"


* The Character :

describe the character..



Fortunato : Round static character ..he is real and there is no changes in his personality.,,

he is a man from high class society.,self-centered, and a noble. he is not a bad or evil person.

also, he is rich and respected.,



Montresors : he is insane person , but not completely .. because he remembers the details of the events 50 years later..

also, he inhuman (( because he buried Fortunato a life ))

uncredible we can't believe him because he didn't prove that Furtinato is evil and never told us what happened between them.

((Insane people , fools , lairs or hypocrites.))

the theme stated directly in the first sentence.

Dominated by " revenge"

How the revenge take place ?



* Setting :

We can't find specific place for this story ..

because Montresor is French ,Fortunato is Italian , The Amontillado is Spanish ,Plazzo is Italian , the motto of Montresor's family is Spanish .. that's why we can't tell the setting for sure, nut we can set the story an any place pf those.,,

The time in the half of the century.,



- Conflict: Person against Person

little conflict>person against himself: because an a brief moment Montresors hesitated, the he continued berrying Fortunato.



- Point of view: first person



- ending: unhappy



Structure: flashback.. we discover at the end that this story happened before 50 years
