Good morning everyone,

today I will be talking to you about the beautiful city of Austin which is located in the heart of the southern state of Texas.

It was settled in the 1830s and was named after after Stephen F Austin
who is called the father of Texas.

In addition to being the state capital, Austin is also one of the most popular vacation destinations in Texas and the U.S.

Of course, tops on the list for most Austin area visitors is seeing the Capitol complex itself. However, the Capitol is far from being Austin’s only attraction.

The Bob Bullock Story of Texas Museum and the Texas State Cemetery are also popular stops for visitors interested in Texas history.

Austin is surrounded by several natural attractions as well. Within the city limits are popular spots such as Town Lake, Barton Springs, and Zilker Park.

A short drive away, visitors can find natural attractions such as the Longhorn Caverns State Park, and Inner Space Caverns.



The LBJ Library and Museum are among the favorites. However, the Austin Nature and Science Center and Austin Zoo attract their share of visitors as well.

In the end Austin is a very rich city in both history and modern culture, and it has something to offer for everyone.
