This is what has been mentioned in the compendium that given by Dr Harmoosh under the subject of TASK DEFINITIONS ..
In this exercise we are initially asking you to create your own task definition. Let's look at some typical task definitions for reading and writing about a text . Some may be familiar to you; others, we expect , will be new. You will have used one (or more) in your paragraph on Skunk Hour.

These task definitions can be loosely divided into two categories:
1- Those that are either text-based or reader-based
2-Those that are interactive , stressing connections between text, reader and often larger contexts.

As you might expect, we will advocate that you adopt an interactive organizing plan. But first we want to review a number of task definitions, only some of which are interactive, and we invite you to compare your response to Skunk Hour with those of our students in order to discover how you defined your writing task, We will also review for you what we have discovered to be the primary benefits and costs - the advantages and disadvantages of adopting each task definition.

* Test-Based or Reader-Based Task Definitions :
1- Summarizing the text .
2- Free-Associating about the text .
3- Interpreting the text.

* Interactive Task Definition :
1- Self-consciously responding to the text .
2- Analyzing your response cognitively with the goal of becoming a strong reader.
3- Analyzing your response culturally with the goal of becoming a strong reader.

Summarizing :
We have found that writing a summary of a text is the most common organizing plan students have whether the text is a play, poem, short story , or essay . In a summary , you try to reduce the text to its key points , to reproduce those points in a clear orderly way , and to keep out (as much as possible) all additional sources of information , such as other poems you've read, your knowledge about L. L. Bean and Skunks , and your personal reaction to the poem.

*************
As one of the students said that round 6 questions in the test was based on what have been written above , Lets share our knowledge and practice our experiences, helping each other to find out what kind of questions are they! and how it's supposed to be laid out .

wish you all the best ya 39afeer :)
